Meet Simona
My name is Simona Smirnova. I am a full time musician, composer and educator based in New York City, originally from Lithuania. I came to the United States in 2012 to study composition and voice at Berklee College of Music, in Boston MA. I graduated with a Contemporary Writing and Production degree in 2015. In 2017 I released my debut album based on Franz Kafka’s short story “A Hunger Artist” which is available on Spotify, iTunes and all other major streaming platforms. In 2018 I moved to New York City. For the past two years I have been regularly performing with my jazz quartet in New York music clubs, composing music for film and chamber orchestras, and touring in different countries, such as Australia and New Zealand.
